Hi, my name is Anthony Redfern, I’m 17 and I swim with Senior County and compete at regional level.

I am a bubbly, enthusiastic person and I am keen to see good junior development within the club. Whilst I haven’t been at Worcester SC for very long, I have been swimming competitively for nearly 10 years. In my short time at WSC, I have been assisting Mark on poolside during Junior training sessions, and have been to external galas in which I have not been swimming, to support the swimmers and Mark.

I think I would suit the role of Club Captain because I am approachable and, I believe, a good role model. I will act as a point of contact for all swimmers and will listen to any concerns, queries and comments that they may wish to raise and then represent them in front of the committee.

I will carry out the role to the best of my ability, and will do my best to see the club move forward as a whole, in the next year. Thank you

Hi my name is Sophie Groves, I swim in the senior county and have been swimming competitively for 7 years and regularly compete for the club. Last year I obtained my first Midland time through perseverance after a year of illness.  I would love to be able to give something back to the club after it helped me back to form and feel that being club captain would be a great way to do this.

I also think I would be suitable for the role as I am a very approachable person and would pass on any queries and problems that swimmers and even parents have to try to help them to the best of my ability.

If I was to become club captain I would represent it in the best way possible and help the club evolve further more in the next year.  Thank you very much, Grovesee
