Please find below entry information re the Worcestershire County Development Meet to be held at Wolverhampton on Sunday 2nd October.

In addition to the programme and the entry form, there are also “cut off” times and please note that as this is a development meet, swimmers may NOT enter if their Personal Best is FASTER than these published times.

It will be a good opportunity for swimmers to achieve Qualifying Times for next year’s County Championships so I would encourage all eligible swimmers aged 9-13 (as at 2nd Oct) to enter please.

Whilst it is still some way off, entry forms need to be with Mark Stowe / Lizzie Monkhouse (together with a cheque payable to Worcester Swimming Club please at £5 per event) by no later than Monday 22nd August so I would encourage you to get paperwork sorted out asap!

Finally, please be aware that entry for spectators will be limited. We have been advised by the County that in order to overcome problems at recent competitions at Wolverhampton (including abuse to volunteers on the door!) where there simply haven’t been enough seats for parents, tickets will be allocated to Clubs based on the % of their swimmers’ entries as a whole (up to the maximum of 224). The Club will then need to sell/distribute these tickets to parents beforehand with no entry allowed on the day (it will be a ticket only gala). What I think/hope this will mean in practice is that all swimmers should get 1 ticket for a parent but I suspect there won’t be many more to go around so please bear this in mind…there will be no opportunity to take the whole family to view the racing!!
