No surprise of course, but we have today been advised that the open meet at Gloucester on 27-29th March is cancelled

The email from Glos is below and as you will see, refunds will be dealt with asap:

Dear All,

Many thanks for your polite enquiries and your patience. Following the recently publicised guidance from the UK government and Swim England, regrettably our Long Distance and Lv2/Lv3 Open Meets have had to be cancelled. Our hope was that the country could stave off the advancing pandemic long enough to support the swimmers reaching their ambitions, but unfortunately this has not been possible. Instead our interests turn to the welfare of all the swimmers, their families and our volunteers on poolside.

We will provide refunds for all entries. For those who paid by cheque, these have yet to be banked, so they will be destroyed. For BACS refunds, I have some details already (for clubs due refunds from scratches and withdrawals). For clubs and individuals who did not receive scratches, please could you send through your bank details when possible.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Paul Fielder
